Joeys Weekly Challenge- 'Queeries'
A great tangle by a great artist. I decided to just focus on the lines. Mine aren't straight by any stretch, but feel a bit primitive. It was a fun challenge to do!

Diva Challenge #237- stencil 9/28
This was a really interesting challenge. It isn't always easy for me to discern clearly what is being looked for in doing the challenge but I think I came close.
I used a stencil of a keyhole and tangled Opus inside, and Shattuck and Jumu and Iza outside of the keyhole.
I used a mix of spray ink, paint and water. I didn't douse the borders so they are faint.
Ok, until next week!

Tangle Me Three Challenge- 'Ona'
A very unassuming tangle that I was surprised by how it leant itself to evolving into a bunch of forms. Great challenge!
Sarah
That's New to Me 'I'-Iza and Indyrella
Indyrella ive used a couple of times and need to practice more. Iza is new and reminds me of a houseplant Zentangled!
Thanks Suzy!

Diane and Carolien's Challenge 'R K I'
Working ahead while my wrist allows, here is Inapod, K.A.F., and Rosette and Kozy. A lot of favorites!
Sarah
Diane and Carolien's 'F I N'
I chose an older tangle, Flench, good and dependable Inapod and a not so perfect Narwahl. I'm learning on that last one. It's going to be awhile... Thanks ladies!
Sarah
Tackle It Tuesday 'N'
I chose Nymph and N Zeppel. I wasn't able to complete it totally due to my wrist issues being worse this week. Need to take a break I think. I say that but will probably just keep drawing! Hard to resist tangling!

String Thing 111- Hamail
My wrist is not doing well, but I wanted to participate so I just drew a few tangles on an autumn inspired colored tile. Hamail is a favorite and I chose Opus as my favorite (at the moment!) tangle. Take care. Hopefully with a break, things will improve with the wrist again. Thanks!

Zendala Dare 109
I really enjoyed this pattern. It was fun to put Shattuck into it, though I feel a bit guilty using Paradox again. :)

Joey's Weekly Challenge 2nd try
After going through the step outs I realized I missed one or two steps! Whoops! Here's another go at it, but shaded with some sparkle...

Joey's Weekly Challenge 'Pea Nuckle'
I don't know if I spelled that right, but tangle spellings are always weird. I tried to squeeze the pattern into a couple different forms. It was fun to do!
Sarah
Diva Challenge #223 'found object'
I had a piece of left over from a book of paper by Tim Holtz. So it just so happens I'll doodle on a map as well! I used circles as my strings, and the tangles Shattuck, Opus, Sand Swirl, Bumps, and LinQ. Fun idea! I'll be doing this again.
Sarah
Tangle Me Three-'Maryhill '
I do have a bit of affection for this tangle. There is so many ways to configure it, position and shape it. Let alone shading and color. Really enjoyed the challenge!
Sarah
That's New to Me- 'Z'
Zakuska. That's the name of the tangle. Weird name but a tangle by Sandra Strait that is awesome. Great to be introduced to her through your challenge last week Suzy!

Diane and Carolien's Challenge -'C,D,#'
I chose 3 to go, Chain Link, and Doguette 1. I found a stockpile of Sandra Strait tangles on Flickr and boy am I going to be busy. As much as the angry wrist allows! Thanks ladies!

String Thing #110
I really liked learning these tangles, two which were new for me. Used all three but left some space. Tried out new Sakura colored Micron pen too which is always fun.
Thanks!
Sarah.
Two by Tuesday- 'Birthday'
This year a very special thing happened while at lunch on my birthday. An older lady was having her birthday at the restaurant with a group of people. She was in her late 70's, and I was turning 38. I waved at her and wished her a happy birthday and said 'me too!' And she smiled. A half hour later one of the older ladies friends brings my Mom and I each a piece of coconut cream cake.
I will treasure that moment as I said thank you, and the old lady waved and smiled. Definitely the best birthday cake ever.

Tangle Me Three- Heart Line
A seemingly simple tangle that is actually very technical as you want to make it. I guess all tangles are subjective, but I had to write something as though I know what I might be doing! :)
Sarah
That's New to Me- 'T' and artist
I chose Tizzy, and Trio which is a first time, and Japonica from the artist. Lots to choose from from the artist this week!
Thanks Suzy!

Diva Challenge #135 - lines
Make no mistake about it. I'm lost on interpreting what we're supposed to do. Plus I got called stupid today by someone. Doesn't help with inspiration.
:(

Joeys Weekly Challenge #78-Oke
I loved learning this tangle. I know it's very simple the way I did it, and I'm going to be using it now, but it's form in the most simple way was beautiful to me.
Thanks Joey!

Tackle it Tuesday- 'L'
I used Lanie, Shard, and Lotus Pod. It was a pretty straightforward string for the week! Next week should be interesting for sure as well!
Sarah
String Thing #109
I used all three tangles and let Morf morph its way out into another portion. Footlites is a favorite as always and Tour was good too. Very interesting string! But the tangles fit into it well. Thanks,
Sarah

Diva Challenge #234- Can T
I've loved Zentangle because there have been so many breakthroughs of 'I Can!' and I've been able to conquer tangles I never thought I could. You see, I'm learning disabled in math/geometry/spatial type of things.
Zentangle has let me succeed where I never have before or dreamed I could. And for that I thank you all. So this morning when the pattern read 'Can T', I immediately panicked. Then I saw it and really felt sad. I thought, 'how ironic that I'm set up to fail with a pattern essentially named 'Can't.'
Then I thought if anyone would understand a learning challenge, the Diva challenge was a good place to be so I tried. And tried. And tried. But I remembered her little boy going to school to kindergarten and he was so steadfast and trusting he could do it, I should keep trying 'Can T'.
And then I slowly got it. And I decided to make it even more challenging and do it on black with a Moonlight pen. And then shading! And it may not be perfect, but at the end I CAN!!!!
Thanks,
Sarah.

Joeys Weekly Challenge-'N'Zeppel'
A good tangle that is versatile and one can do some creative stuff with. Great challenge! Thanks!
Sarah
Every Inchie Monday-ear
I drew my favorite pair of ears. Two for the price of one! A corgi's ears! Dog ears are quite lovely I think!

Tangle Me 3- 'Lealad'
This was a good tangle because at first glance you might think 'GRID!' But, really it's an arrangement of shapes that can be rearranged a million ways. Thanks!
Sarah.
That's New to Me #36-'y'
I wisely or unwisely perhaps chose 'Y Ful'. Lots of practice and I took notes for next time! It was indeed a challenge! Thanks!
Sarah
When inspiration seems to disappear...
I've been lamenting about seeming as if I am in a creative rut, perhaps feeling less inspired to turn out better pieces of artwork. Then I had a thought. Do the opposite of what I've been doing. So I cut up some black paper and the tangles and accuracy began to become clear, and lack of focus rearranged. Try a black tile if you're ever stuck.

Phew! I found it in the archives! That's what I get for working ahead again...
Betweed, Unyun, and Jumu. Onto next week's!!!
Sarah
String Thing #108- 4 tangles
This is what happens when you do Cubine and thenn let loose with Lanie!!
She just took over in all kinds of combinations. I just went with the flow, and Lanie kept going!

Tackle it Tuesday- 'K'
I used an uppercase K for my string and Kozy, Keeko, and Aquee for my tangles.
A 'k' makes for a nice string! Thanks!
Sarah
Joeys weekly challenge- Maryhill
I liked what I did until I saw everyone else's. I'm not having a good week or been feeling well. I did enjoy learning this tangle, it was lovely. I just came up short.
Even tried twice.
Sarah.
