Tackle It Tuesday- S U N

Sad to hear we won't have challenges for a month, but glad that things will be back in June. Looking forward to June!
I used Showgirl, Upholstered, and Nami.
Thanks!  Have a great vacation!
Sarah.

It's a String Thing- Quib string

Quib was a tangle I forgot about but luckily could still attempt to draw. I'm not sure if I interpreted the other tangle as well, but it gave me a chance to try out some shading with markers. The sparkles are from a glitter GellyRoll pen.
I thought this was a really inventive string idea. I never would've thought of it!
Thanks,  Sarah.

Joey's Weekly Challenge- Ten X

A lovely string. I wish I could have been more creative with it and I might post another tile if I have time. Had a lot of ideas floating around in my head. Great choices for tangles!  Enjoyed them all!

I am the Diva Challenge- Stripes/rows

I did two versions. One in a grayish way, kind of tonal, and one full of color.
I'd be hard pressed to remember which tangles are which, but I know I used Fassett, Printemps, Shnek, Cali, Zander, Mumsy on the colored one and Ogel, and some new ones I forget. Ah well.

Diane and Carolien's Challenge- Q, G, M

Before I forget I used Gneiss and Mumsy and Quabog. Yay!  I tried Gneiss which is new for me, and used a 'q' for my string. Everyone is so hot for X's and Q's so I'm doing my best to dig up all kinds of those tangles to keep up with you!

Diane and Carolien's Challenge- J, T, X

I forgot what the X tangle is. I'll try to update it later. I used Jacki and Tideberry.
I did it on some mystery scrap paper from a garage sale last summer, and made a dark pattern on it. It took ok.
Have a great week ladies!

It's a String Thing! ----Queen

I used the string but got my inspiration from the documentary I watched about the Queen's garden and all of the beautiful walkways and herbaceous borders of perennials. So this is a lot of color as I imagine it would be colorful and splendid to get an invite to one of her garden parties in the summer.

Tackle it Tuesday-S A T

Although very sad to hear we won't have our Tackle it Tuesday's, it will be nice for you to get away and have time off. I made a string out of a rough shape of a 'T' for the name of the challenge and used the tangles Shnek, Ansu, and Tuftid. And a bit of color. Take care and we'll be watching for you in June!

Joey's Weekly Challenge-'nine'. IX

This is another great string. It's upside down as pictured if it looks confusing at first. I liked all the tangles, but I'm not very good at using them all. So I picked three. But I always remember the saying 'quit while you're ahead ' when I get to a certain point when drawing. And this was enough to draw and color. Thanks Joey!

I Am The Diva -'Spring'

My spring is shown in black and white and color. I've been having a great time with Distress inks.
Anyways, my string is in a coil from left to right, Mooka now residing where the string was with some Zinger popping up.
Have a great week!

Tackle it Tuesday- F R I

For this week I chose Flutterbud and Inbloom and Ramy. Used some distress inks too. One is before and after.
I like color I must admit...

Joeys weekly Challenge! VIII - eight

Here is my monotangle tangled string. I got started and I just kept going and when I was done, I thought I'd stop while I was happy with it. Thanks for another great week!
Sarah

Diane and Carolien's Challenge-CKS

I found some funky paper that didn't agree with some ink and made a go of it using Caviar, Kiwi and Squid. You have to look for Squid a bit in the upper right hand corner. :)
Thanks Ladies!

It's a String thing- Copada, Hollibaugh and poke root.

Here is my entry for the week. I kind of got carried away by Hollibaugh and managed to fuse a few pieces of Copada in there. It was a great string to work with and I enjoyed doing this tile a lot. Thanks for another great week!

Happy birthday to me maybe?-update

I couldn't do the Gofundme page. Not after reading about the people who need money for some pretty serious stuff.

But it turned out ok, as my mom of course, gave in and bought me the stamps for an early birthday present.

Happy birthday to me indeed!

Thanks all or reading!

Sarah.

Let me explain.

A birthday message brought to you by Sarah Satonin 3852 Mayfield Ave NE 2B Grand Rapids MI 49525

I'm going to have a good birthday one way or another even though I spent all my money on car repairs.

I'm trying to ask all of you-my wonderful friends - for a happy birthday donation to a fund for some rubber stamps by the artist Tim Holtz

 https://www.gofundme.com/wcypq

I'm tired of having no fun on birthdays and not getting anything for fun or at all. I don't drink or smoke dope or do drugs, so what the heck, why not ask for a couple of bucks to go to my artistic pursuits.

I'm trying to get $73.00 for stamps and stamp blocks to use them with.

I found some to buy as a set and they are awesome.

Well, I left my address at the beginning of this letter, so y'all are welcome to send in a donation. I'm tired of having poopy birthdays. How about a little bit of fun for once?

Thanks to all who read this and do not report us to the local authorities.  Sarah and Teigr.

A picture of where a dollar or two could go towards my art career. And a happy birthday to me. All proceeds collected in excess of these two items will go to my service dog, Teigr, for rawhide to chew on.

Thanks for your time.

It's a String Thing- April 5

I was in an odd mood and did two. One to satisfy my needs for a mono tangle with the new tangle, and then one raucous with too much color and shine. I have no idea why I colored in the center of the first with a silver paint.
Perhaps I've been reading and looking at too much stuff on the MOMA website. It's been a strange week. Perhaps it's all the terrible Superman movies my boyfriend has been making me watch. Kryptonite, Fortress of Solitude, molten metals...  I'd rather think it was due to the former and not the latter.  Thanks!  Great challenge as always.

Joeys Weekly Challenge- seven

I kind of went mono tangle here. And went dark and let the background recede into itself. A bit of shading and there it is!
I still think these strings are a great idea. So much versatility!  Thanks Joey!

I Am The Diva Challenge 'Fassett' x2

Devine entry. I feel a bit of Paradox and Marywood.
Just playing around. This tangle is a lot of fun.

I Am The Diva Challenge- Fassett

There is so much further to be explored with this tangle. I scratched the surface today, merely drawing shapes and letting the tangle take me where it wanted to go. There are a million ways to describe the structure of Fassett, but I wouldn't know where to start dissecting it. So just draw it I said.
