Joey's Weekly Challenge- Undu

Great tangle by a great young artist. Always enjoy this tangle. After my artistic meltdown I've been letting myself create on whatever size paper feels right. This is 6x8 I think. Just trying to find my stride again. Thanks!

That's New to Me- 'U' and artist.

I downloaded an interesting app of tangle patterns and found some odd balls. One being U-Bend. And I chose Intwine by the artist. In a blue mood. How can you not have blue in your day and not have a good one?  :)

Tangle Me Three Challenge-Shattuck

I love Shattuck. No two ways about it. Thanks Suzy!  Done on the gray tiles...  :)

I am the Diva Challenge - 'Cairns'

Today's challenge really resonated with me because of the rocks. I mean, cairns are an incredible thing, but a bit overwhelming for me. So I picked out a memory of using rocks that brings peace of mind. Buddhists build 'stupas' to house memories or spirits. I remember one day in autumn I sat on a peninsula at Old Mission on Lake Michigan in the midst of the lake on either side, building a stupa-like pile of rocks like I'd seen in pictures. I remember the light of the day, the shimmering fields in the distance at shore, and the feel of putting together this marker saying I had been there and existed that day, and the mystery of how long my stupa would stand. Would it be years? A week? Would it fall down? I shall never know and that is a beautiful God given moment of being in the moment. I have been struggling with my artistic pursuits and what I'm doing, and today's challenge was such a peaceful release. Thanks for all of your kind words everyone. Because of your kindness I stopped being so hard on myself and just be me. Thank you.

Tackle it Tuesday- 'R'

Roscoe is the tangle. New one for me. I like the idea though. See ya!

I am the Diva Challenge- nature

I'm not sure what to say. I can't offer imaginative things in my tangles, I can't think outside the box, but I can give you color. That is all I have in this flat, one dimension without depth I draw in. I cannot shade, twist or bend to make tangles amazing and my own. I've been needing to say this out loud and if I rid myself of it perhaps I'll be more productive. Just needed to put it down on 'paper'. Tired of it dogging me.
