Today's tangle to put it simply was a flashback to geometry class in sophomore year of high school. I tried to understand the idea but felt like I couldn't get much farther beyond the shape being just what it was. A great tangle now that I know it, but putting it into practice with something else is too much of a jump in the deep end. I tried hard not to belly flop this week...
Sarah
Two tiles tonal and color
First:
Love how you enlarged the tangle for your color tile!
ReplyDeleteActually I just drew it on a 3.5" tile. Made it fun!
DeleteSarah.
The colour tile is spectacular - really love those colours together. Axxx
ReplyDeleteI love the softness of your first tile - this tangle is usually so crispy! But the second one in color ROCKS!! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLovely, colorful.
ReplyDeleteAh, but the fun is the different interior shapes or the color added. Both of your tiles really make good use of the tangle!
ReplyDeleteLove the birds-eye-view of Crux in your very colorful second tile! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteTwo very different tiles but both special. Love the use of colour.
ReplyDeleteTwo great tiles!
ReplyDeleteSo different and so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the coloured tile and sympathise about the Crux, it doesn't work very well for me. In fact, it made my head hurt!
ReplyDeleteYour second one is so lovely!! And the first looks like beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteI think you went way beyond a belly flop . . . you made two beautiful swan dives!
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous pieces! I love the way you use color.
ReplyDeleteDear Sarah, love the luscious colors, but the tonal piece is great too in its simplicity. So glad to see you got the inks you wanted and are using them with inspiration. Thank you for the lovely words on my blog post. c
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful! Especially I like the second one with its lovely colours!
ReplyDeleteWow, that colourful Crux is fabulous, it really stands out.
ReplyDeleteWOW to the coloured one! Like the other one's "scalloped" filling.
