I am guilty of not using strings to help guide me as much as I should use them. So this was enjoyable for me to fill a space but also leave room for the tangles to 'breathe'. That's what I took from the experience at least! Had fun, thanks!
I tried hard to keep in mind the idea of open space and try not to jam a million things inside the string. I liked your challenge very much. Thanks. Sarah
Such a great tile! I really love the balance of the tight pattern (I can't recall the name of that one), white space and the wandering "Rixty". Well done!
I love your breathing Rixties! You have a good contrast between them and the other really beautiful new tangle whose name, like Michele, I cannot recall. I find that Rixty often does unpredictable things!
Great interpretation, I like the Rixty flowing through the space.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Rixty is quite versatile. And bendable! :)

great tile! I like the little rebel sneaking off on the left.

ReplyDeleteI thought it'd be quirky! Thanks! Sarah.
DeleteDoes this mean the Rixty is a "space invader"? Do you have to be of a certain age to understand the reference in my comment?
ReplyDeleteLove that game!! I was under the age of 10 when it was big but still remember it. Rixty indeed was allowed to invade a wee bit of space. :)

Great use of a string to leave some space for a flowing tangle like Rixty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean! It was a good tangle to mingle around the string. :)

A great idea to use a string to leave a negative space!
ReplyDeleteI'm still learning the fine art of strings and using them as we all are so thank you!!! Sarah
DeleteVery nice tile :-) I like your Rixty in the white space.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it and stopped by! Rixty is fun. Sarah.
DeleteI like that mix of busy, simple and space. You've got it all and to very good effect.
ReplyDeleteA very nice compliment! Thank you! It all fell into place as it does sometimes. Sarah.
DeleteThis is so lovely, Sarah!! Great open space!! I don't use strings much either!! :)

Nice job. I am also guilty of not using strings as much as when I started out. I find I use them when I am stumped!
ReplyDeleteLovely tile with its fine Rixty in the white spaces!
